My Most Memorable Camping Experience

Wearing a green colour base with black logo pattern shirt, dark blue scarf tied below the collar paired with a knee-length dark blue skirt, that was the formal attire for girl guides during my secondary schooling. I was considered as a very active student and was chosen to represent the state to participate in an international camp organized by Malaysia Girls Guides Association. This camp has held in Mersing Johor for a week. I was so excited and worried at the same time, excited because I will get the chance to meet people from all around Malaysia and other countries but was worrying if I could adapt myself to the new environment.
The day that I had been waiting all this while approached and all representatives from each district gathered at Iporishead quarter before we travelled by bus to Mersing campsite. I was told that our campsite was situated by the beach and I could not wait to feel the breeze blowing toward me and with the eye catching tranquil view. The whole journey was just so slow as I could not wait to meet the peoples and view the scenery there. Thus journey took us approximately 12 hours and it was very firing and exhausting. We were then brought to our campsite which we were combined with girl guided from Pakistan. The Pakistaneses were just so friendly and I could not wait to be friend with them. We shared our experiences and knowledge during our participation in Girl Guide. I realized that even though we were from different countries with different perceptions but we shared the same girls guides spirit.
The day after was even more exciting. Many activities were organized and we  required to take part in all the activities to gain credits. Jungle trekking, high and low rope, maze, flying fox, traditional games, canoeing and knots tying competition were among the activities held. Throughout the whole expedition, I got to meet girl guides from Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China and Singapura.  They were vaccinated by the activities and were piesed to be here in Malaysia. Camping would not be perfect without campfire party and that was our activity at night. Campfire party was one of the fire where we sing songs and played games. A traditional clothes fashion show was also held to promote culture from different states and countries.
In short, this camping was really useful and memorable. I was lucky to be in the camp as I think my second time chance would not be easy to get as such camp seldom organized in Malaysia and I was so proud and honoured to be there as one of the participant.
